SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant will be participating in the 2026 NBA Dunk Contest at All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, and the NBA announced his competition for the dunk crown.
Jaxkosn Hayes of the Los Angeles Lakers, Keshad Johnson of the Miami Heat, and Jase Richardson of the Orlando Magic will compete against Carter for the league’s best dunker title on NBA All-Star Saturday, which tips off at 4 p.m. CST.
The rookie forward certainly showed off his leaping ability this season and should be a strong contender to win the dunk contest. He’s even impressed his teammate Victor Wembanyama.
DYLAN HARPER AND FAMILY PARTICIPATING IN THE 2026 SHOOTING STARS CHALLENGE
The NBA also announced that Spurs rookie guard Dylan Harper will team up with his brother, Boston Celtics guard-forward Ron Harper Jr., and his father, five-time NBA champion Ron Harper Sr., for the 2026 Kia Shooting Stars challenge on Saturday, Feb. 14 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, Calif. The timed shooting competition returns to NBA All-Star Saturday, which tips off at 4 p.m. CDT.
Four teams of three – each featuring two NBA players and one NBA legend – will compete in the event. The teams reflect NBA All-Star connections, school and team affiliations, and family ties.
Joining Team Harper will be Team All-Star (Toronto Raptors’ Scottie Barnes and Oklahoma City Thunder forward-center Chet Holmgren, 2026 NBA All-Star Game teammates, joined by three-time NBA All-Star Richard Hamilton), Team Cameron (Duke University alums Jalen Johnson of the Atlanta Hawks, Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets, and former NBA player Corey Maggette) and Team Knicks (New York Knicks teammates Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, with ex-Knick Allan Houston).
Harper will also be participating in the 2026 Rising Stars Game with Spurs teammate Stephon Castle, while Victor Wembanyama will be playing with Team World in the All-Star Game.
Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson and his staff will be coaching during the big game for All-Star Sunday.
