MARSHALL, Texas — Three men have been charged with murder in connection with the shooting death of a 13-year-old East Texas boy.

Donyan Dillard, 35, Devan Hurd, 22, Jaquavious Robinson, 21, all of Marshall, have all been arrested following Tristian Phelps’ death from gunshot injuries on Sunday around 2:20 a.m., according to the Marshall Police Department.

According to police, officers responded to the 1100 block of Sanford St., in regards to a shooting in which 20 to 30 shots were fired. That’s when they found Phelps critically injured. The boy passed away later at the hospital.

Police believe the shooting stemmed from an earlier confrontation on Olive Street.
