3 motorcyclists killed in Kerr County after suspected drunk driver plows into them, Texas DPS says

A passenger on one of the motorcycles was airlifted to a San Antonio hospital.

KERR COUNTY, Texas — Three motorcyclists were killed and a passenger critically injured after a suspected drunk driver plowed into them head-on in Kerr County Saturday, Texas DPS says.

It happened around 5 p.m. on State Highway 27 at Bluff Creek Road North in Kerr County.

According to Texas DPS, Jeremy Wasson, 25, crossed into the west bound lanes and struck the three motorcycles head-on.

The drivers of the motorcycles, Courtney Cortez, 25, Cody Cortez, 34, and Daniel Cortez, Jr., 57, were pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger on one of the motorcycles was airlifted to a medical facility in San Antonio.

Wasson is being charged with three counts of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.

The crash investigation remains active and ongoing.
