30-year-old man killed after rollover crash off Highway 46 in Guadalupe County, officials say

Investigators say a 2014 orange Dodge Charger left the roadway, overturned and came to rest in the backyard of a nearby home.

GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas — A man was killed Tuesday afternoon after his car rolled over and crashed off Highway 46, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded around 4:30 p.m. to the 4100 block of Highway 46, near Elm Grove. Investigators say a 2014 orange Dodge Charger left the roadway, overturned and came to rest in the backyard of a nearby home.

The driver, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of family.

The Texas Highway Patrol Division of the Texas Department of Public Safety is leading the investigation. Highway 46 remains open, but authorities say temporary closures may be required as the investigation continues.

The Sheriff’s Office offered condolences to the man’s family and loved ones, calling the crash a tragic event.
