Upon arrival, officials said they found the baby girl not breathing and performed CPR for almost an hour before she lost her life.
SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office says a 4-month-old girl died at a local daycare, sparking an investigation into what happened.
Around 2:45 p.m., sheriff’s deputies responded to Kid Kountry Early Learning Center in the 11700 block of Donop Road for reports of a injured child. Upon arrival, officials said, a 4-month-old child was found not breathing.
Medical personnel on the scene performed CPR for almost an hour attempting to save her life. Despite their efforts, officials said the unidentified baby didn’t survive.
Investigators told KENS 5 they did not see obvious signs of injury, but are handling this as a potential crime until evidence proves otherwise.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
