4 SAPD officers shot in Stone Oak; scene still active, McManus says

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Police Chief William McManus confirmed that four officers have been shot in Stone Oak on Wednesday evening.

He also referred to the scene as a “suicide in progress.”

The incident began at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Sonterra Heights apartment complex in the 18700 block of Stone Oak Parkway on the city’s far north side.

There was no word yet on whether any suspects were in custody in this incident.

The department later reported to media that the officers’ injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
