The Poteet police chief confirmed a young girl was found dead in a vehicle.
POTEET, Texas — Authorities say a 4-year-old girl was found dead in a car in Poteet.
On Tuesday afternoon, officials responded to reports of a child found dead in Poteet.
Upon arrival, Atascosa County Sheriff Jake Guerra said the young girl died in the vehicle. But Guerra added it is unclear if she was left in the car or if she got in the car herself.
This is an ongoing investigation.
