BCSO said a father and his daughter were riding a bike when a vehicle accidentally struck them in far northeast Bexar County.
BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said a 4-year-old has been taken to a local hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding on a bike with her father.
Around 3 p.m., deputies responded to Golf Vista Boulevard and Woodlake Parkway after receiving reports of a crash involving pedestrians.
Upon arrival, nurses were able to quickly transfer the young girl to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
BCSO said their investigation revealed the driver was at a stop sign looking both ways before making a turn northbound onto Golf Vista Boulevard. When he made his last check before turning, a father and his 4-year-old daughter reportedly rolled out in front and collided with the vehicle.
The driver allegedly stayed on the scene and no one is facing any charges at this time, according to BCSO.
The 4-year-old is currently being checked out before going in for a CAT scan on her head for precautionary reasons but BCSO said she is up and talking, just in a little pain from scratches and bruising.
