WIMBERLEY, Texas — Five people are reported dead after a small plane crashed late Thursday night near Wimberley, Texas.

According to Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra, a Cessna 421C aircraft with five people on board crashed sometime before 11:05 p.m. Thursday in the Wimberley area. It’s unclear exactly where the plane landed.

The aircraft reportedly traveled “at a high rate of speed” when the crash happened, but it’s unclear exactly what led up to this incident.

Becerra said authorities confirmed that all five people on the plane died following the crash. They have not been identified at this time.

Another aircraft was reportedly in the area at the time of the crash but landed in New Braunfels.
