Texas A&M finished the game with five sacks and their first 4-0 start since 2016.
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — The No. 9 Texas A&M Aggies looked to keep their undefeated season intact in front of the fifth largest crowd Kyle Field has ever had in their first SEC matchup of the 2025 campaign against the 3-1 Auburn Tigers.
The Aggies began the game with a lightning fast three-play drive capped off by a strong touchdown run by rising star RB Le’Veon Moss. (7-0)
After A&M’s defense was able to hold strong and force the Tigers to punt in their first few possessions, kicker Alex McPherson was able to put Auburn on the board early in the second quarter. (7-3)
Randy Bond, the Aggie’s kicker, said anything you can do I can do better and responded with back-to-back field goals of his own in consecutive drives to put A&M up by 10 going into the half. (13-3)
After a sloppy 3rd quarter from both offenses, Auburn’s defense flipped the game on its head when Marcel Reed’s pass went through WR Terry Bussey’s fingers and into the hands of an Auburn defender who rumbled all the way down to the one yard line, leading to an easy touchdown for the offense. (13-10)
Bond came out to kick another field goal and give A&M some breathing room heading into the final minutes of the game. (16-10)
The Aggie defense came through clutch on the final drive of the game when they sacked Jackson Arnold on a crucial 4th & 1 to keep their undefeated season and playoff hopes alive.
Texas A&M finished the game with five sacks and their first 4-0 start since 2016.
The Aggies will stay in College Station and welcome the 4-1 Mississippi Bulldogs into Kyle Field for a huge SEC bout next Saturday, Oct 4, at 6:30 p.m.
