Fiesta may be over but the fun keeps going this Mother’s Day weekend in San Antonio. Here’s what to expect.

SAN ANTONIO — Mother’s Day weekend arrives just as the wallets of every San Antonian begins to recover from all the Fiesta partying. But the fun doesn’t end just yet.

From family-friendly events and free outdoor activities, to an adults-only music festival with all the best tacos and margaritas in the city, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Here’s what’s going down in the Alamo City this weekend.

Brahmas vs. DC Defenders

End the work week with some football and bring the family out to the Alamodome to see the San Antonio Brahmas take on the DC Defenders. The Brahmas are 1-5 heading in to week 7, hoping to break their losing streak against the Defenders who stand at 4-2 in the season.

Dust off your cowboy boots for Saturday’s theme, “Let’s Rodeo.”

When: Friday. May 9 at 7 p.m.

Tacos and Tequila Festival

The drinks will be flowing and the music will be bumpin’ when the Tacos and Tequila Festival returns to San Antonio on Saturday, featuring a lineup of some your favorite hip-hop and R&B artists.

Come hungry and enjoy the best local chef-inspired street tacos the city has to offer. Then, wash them all down with a house-made margarita.

This year’s lineup includes the artists behind your favorite party anthems like Lil Jon, Ginuwine, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and more.

Spend some quality time with mom this Mother’s Day and stop by the 2nd Saturday San Antonio Mother’s Day Market.

The event features pop-up vendors and crafters from SA Local Market helping you find something special for mom, grandma, tia and the other special women in your life.

Plus, entertainment by Abuelitas de Oro and Youth Bands from Music on Magnolia.

Firebird Dance

Experience the YOSA Philharmonic’s season finale featuring the remarkable young dancers of San Antonio Youth Ballet.

Firebird Dance” is a fairytale ballet based on Russian folklore and a celebration of lively dance traditions and powerful storytelling.

Don’t miss this musical evening of dance and fantasy.

Coppélia

Another ballet performance you won’t want to miss is happening Saturday at Our lady of the Lake University. 

Alamo City Dance Company and Symphony Viva presents “Coppélia,” a whimsical story following the tale of a young couple and the mysterious, life-like doll, Coppelia.

With stunning a dance performance and live music from Symphony Viva, this production promises a captivating experience for audiences of all ages.

When: Saturday, May 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
