SAN ANTONIO — After a rainy start to the work week, the weather is looking promising to get out and enjoy the lineup of events happening across San Antonio this weekend.

New exhibited about Chicano artist highlights Mexico’s culinary story
The first retrospective dedicated to a local Mexican-American artist and activist was unveiled by the City of San Antonio’s Department of Arts & Culture on Thursday at Centro de Artes Gallery in Historic Market Square.
“Dining with Rolando Briseño: A 50-Year Retrospective” blends art, culture, social causes and food traditions to tell the story of Mexican-Americans over the past 70-plus years.
The exhibit features more than 75 drawings, lithographs, paintings, photographs, public artworks and pieces that survived a devastating house and studio fire that played a role in influencing his artistic focus.

Celebrate SA’s cultural heritage with a weekend-long array of family-friendly events
The 9th Annual World Heritage kicked off on Thursday and will run through Sunday with various immersive historical and cultural experiences across the city’s five Spanish colonial missions.
The international celebration allows residents and visitors the opportunity to celebrate our unique history and culture through fun family-friendly events, including Music and Movie Under the Stars and Tour de Las Misiones.

Happening in Schertz this Saturday, the Vinyl Record Show of San Antonio returns! Music lovers and vinyl collectors are invited to enjoy an outing celebrating the timeless charm of analog sound.
With over 50 vendors from across the state, you can browse and find budget-friendly rare collectibles and shop from a variety of music memorabilia, CDs, T-shirts, posters, cassettes and more—all while enjoying the camaraderie of like-minded music lovers in a friendly environment.

It’s “Tucanes time” at the Majestic Theatre
Renowned Mexican musical group and revered figures in the controversial genre of narcocorridos, Los Tucanes de Tijuana are set to bring their “Tucanes Time Tour” to the Alamo City on Friday.
The award-winning band from Tijuana has captivated audiences with their energetic performances and unique style since the late 80s.

Jo Koy brings comedy tour to Frost bank Center
Stand-up comedian and actor Jo Koy will bring the laughs to San Antonio on Saturday on his “Just being Koy Tour.”
A long way from his modest beginnings performing in a Las Vegas coffee house, Jo has sold out arenas around the world and amassed a large following, making a name for himself in the stand-up comedy industry.
