SAN ANTONIO — A young boy has died from his injuries after being hit by a vehicle outside a home on San Antonio’s west side on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said the 6-year-old boy was riding a toy car on a downward sloped private driveway in the 400 block of Amires Place when he went into the public roadway. That’s when officials said an elderly man driving a red F-150 coming down the street hit him.
The driver remained on scene and rendered aid, according to SAPD. He told investigators he didn’t see the boy.
The 6-year-old was taken to University Hospital after the incident where he was pronounced dead shortly after.
Officials said there are no criminal elements to the case. This is still an ongoing investigation.
