
As the driver got out to check on the man who was underneath the motorcycle due to the crash, a GMC Terrain crashed into the motorcycle and ran over the man.
SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the man who was struck by two vehicles while riding his motorcycle in San Antonio on Tuesday.
The motorcyclist has been identified as 75-year-old Philip Jack Toomes.
Around 5:45 a.m. on Tuesday, SAPD responded to the 1100 block of Wetmore Road after receiving reports of a crash.
Preliminary reports show Toomes was traveling southbound on Wetmore Road while riding his motorcycle when a truck crashed into him as it was attempting to exit private property.
As the driver of the truck got out to check on Toomes, who was underneath the motorcycle due to the crash, a GMC Terrain crashed into the motorcycle and ran over Toomes.
Both of the drivers who crashed into the motorcyclist stayed on the scene and no charges are expected to be filed, according to SAPD.
