Officials are still not sure what exactly happened, but right now are calling it a “freak accident.”
SAN ANTONIO — A 79-year-old man has died after fire officials says his own truck rolled over him Tuesday morning.
Officials aren’t completely sure what happened, but based on their investigation they believe the man parked his truck on a frontage road of I-37 and got out. Officials say the truck was still in drive, and it rolled on top of him.
The man managed to crawl away from the truck, according to officials, and called 911. When officials showed up, the man was still talking but despite lifesaving measures, he later died.
There was no damage to the truck and no witnesses, and this is the best guess officials have as to what happened. They are calling this a “freak accident.”
