8 units respond to storage unit fire in San Antonio that left 4 garages damaged, SAFD says

Detectives are currently investigating what started the fire that damaged several north-side storage units.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Fire Department is currently investigating what caused four north-side storage units to catch fire on Saturday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., SAFD responded to the 5100 Block of Blanco Road after receiving a report of smoke coming from the US Storage Centers.

Upon arrival, which included up to eight units, SAFD says fours garages were on fire.

At this time, SAFD says the fire is contained and detectives are sifting through debris to trying and find out what might’ve started the fire.

No injuries were reported. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
