The Cowboys drafted Tyler Booker from Alabama with the No. 12 overall pick.
FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys picked Alabama guard Tyler Booker on night one of the 2025 NFL Draft with the No. 12 overall pick.
On Friday, Booker arrived in North Texas at The Star in Frisco with a Texas-themed welcome. Lucchese presented Booker with a pair of handcrafted, custom Dallas Cowboys-themed boots. Booker got a custom fitting session using Lucchese’s century-old tracing and measurement technique, held in the Lucchese Lounge at The Star, overlooking the Cowboys’ practice fields.
Booker is the first Cowboys draft pick to get this welcome, and Lucchese will continue this tradition each year to officially welcome the team’s top draft selection to the Cowboys with their first pair of Lucchese boots, the team and bootmaker said in a joint press release.

The pair of Lucchese boots Booker got is part of the “Lucchese x Dallas Cowboys Collection,” which will launch in select stores and online in August, according to the release.
Lucchese has been a partner of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders for 14 years.
The Texan tribute follows a similar trend among Dallas’ professional sports teams. When the Dallas Wings introduced their 2025 draft selections, the women were all gifted Stetson hats.
