Abandoned building catches fire in downtown

Firefighters were told that someone may have been inside the building, but nobody was found.

SAN ANTONIO — Another abandoned building in downtown San Antonio caught fire late Wednesday night, according to SAFD.

Firefighters responded to the 100 block of Union Street near I37 South around 10 p.m. for reports of a fire.

When firefighters arrived at the location, they were told someone may have been in the building, but nobody was found.

Crews were able to extinguish the flames pretty quickly.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.

No word on what may have caused the fire but it is under investigation.
