A vehicle accident on Highway 281 at TPC Parkway has caused multiple lane closures while police investigate.
SAN ANTONIO — If you’re heading out Sunday afternoon, you may want to steer clear of southbound Highway 281 near TPC Parkway on the north side of town.
Police say an accident was reported in the area around 1 p.m., prompting crews to shut down the southbound lanes for what could be up to two hours.
While no injuries have been reported, the closure is already causing traffic to back up, and drivers are being strongly encouraged to find another route.
If you’re already on Highway 281, officials recommend taking the Stone Oak Parkway exit to avoid the shutdown.
Traffic conditions are expected to remain slow while crews work to clear the scene.
