Actor Gabriel Luna shares his fandom of Spurs, Wembanyama

Actor Gabriel Luna, a longtime Spurs fan, lauds Victor Wembanyama’s unique talent.

SAN ANTONIO — The San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama have a massive fan in Hollywood.

Actor Gabriel Luna, who was born in Austin, Texas, and has played Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), Rev-9 in Terminator: Dark Fate, and currently plays Tommy Miller in The Last of Us, was a guest on The Rich Eisen Show and shared his love of the Spurs.

“The Spurs have always been my team,” Luna said. “The Spurs have always been just my heart.”

Luna pointed out how close Austin is to San Antonio, which drew him to becoming a Spurs fan, and he admits he is also a Dallas Cowboys fan.

But his Spurs fandom extends beyond the team. He also spoke about his admiration of Wembanyama.

“The fact that we have just an absolute once in a lifetime [player],” he said. “I love his confidence. I love his dedication, his training.”

Luna also pointed out how much he enjoys seeing opponents drive to the rim, thinking they have a shot to score, only to meet Wemby waiting for them.

“People think that they have a sliver of light, and it just closes up on him. It’s just amazing to watch.”

 The Spurs have plenty of actors and musicians who are big fans of the team.

Selena Gomez, Richard Chavarria, Nathan Ray Clark, George Strait, Samuel L. Jackson, and Tommy Lee Jones are among the celebrities who support the Spurs.
