SAN ANTONIO — A man has been arrested and charged with capital murder more than a year after two men were shot and killed outside an apartment complex on San Antonio’s northwest side, according to an arrest affidavit.
William David Eusebio-Bigott, 39, was taken into custody in connection with the August 2024 shooting that left two people dead near a playground area at an apartment complex in the 5000 block of Glen Ridge Drive, investigators said.
According to the affidavit, San Antonio police responded to a call for a shooting in progress around 6:14 a.m. on Aug. 11, 2024. Officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds and rushed them to University Hospital.
One victim, identified as 26-year-old Daniel Alejandro Rojas Flores, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. The second victim, 27-year-old Jonaikel Martinez Naria, later died from his injuries.
The affidavit states both victims had been attending a party inside an apartment at the complex with several acquaintances when an argument broke out and turned physical. Witnesses told investigators that the confrontation escalated outside near the playground after residents were asked to leave the apartment.
According to investigators, Rojas Flores chased another man involved in the argument and a fight broke out near the playground area. Martinez Naria then joined the struggle, holding the man around the neck while Rojas Flores punched him, the affidavit states.
A witness told investigators she heard gunshots and saw Eusebio-Bigott holding a handgun. The affidavit says the witness reported Eusebio-Bigott was the only person at the scene armed with a firearm.
Another witness reportedly heard Martinez Naria begging for his life as they fled the area.
Multiple residents called 911 to report the shooting, describing the shooter as a man wearing a white T-shirt and a white hat. Investigators say Eusebio-Bigott was the only person matching that description.
Surveillance video from the apartment complex allegedly shows Eusebio-Bigott and others running into an apartment after the shooting. Investigators said witnesses who were acquainted with Eusebio-Bigott later identified him as the shooter.
Arrest records show he has been charged with capital murder.
