A 19-year-old faces charges after allegedly recording a sexual assault and sending the video to the victim’s family, according to investigators.

SAN ANTONIO — A 19-year-old San Antonio man is behind bars, accused of sexually assaulting a victim on camera, according to an arrest affidavit.

Investigators say the victim reported the incident to authorities on Tuesday.

She claimed that on top of being physically abused, she was humiliated after video of the alleged sexual assault was sent to the victim’s family.

Investigators say Elijah Ramirez knew the victim. According to court records, Ramirez was upset with the victim and threatened to keep her from her child unless she did what he said.

The victim told authorities he recorded the assault. The affidavit states family members told investigators they received videos from Ramirez of the alleged sexual assault.

The victim claimed after the video was taken, Ramirez choked and shoved her and tried to separate her from her young child, the affidavit states.

Ramirez was arrested and confessed his actions to police, investigators said.

He is now facing three charges including sexual assault and is awaiting indictment.

Ramirez remains in jail with bonds totaling $75,000.
