AFFIDAVIT: San Antonio man charged in violent attack of woman at northwest-side parking lot

Drake Goode, 28, is accused of attacking the female victim, pistol-whipping her and shooting her multiple times.

SAN ANTONIO — A man is behind bars, accused of shooting a woman several times after a fight on San Antonio’s northwest side over the weekend, according to an arrest affidavit.

Records say 28-year-old Drake Goode was charged in connection with a shooting that happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday in a parking lot in the 4400 block of De Zavala Road.

According to the warrant, another woman had challenged the victim to a fight. It was unclear why Goode became involved but police said he attacked the female victim, pistol-whipped her and then shot her multiple times.

When officers arrived, they found the woman in a car bleeding from gunshot wounds to her arm, wrist and elbow, according to police.

Witnesses told investigators the woman was sitting in the driver’s seat when Goode walked up and began punching and pistol-whipping her through the open door. He then fired several shots into the car before leaving with another woman, the warrant states.

Detectives reported finding blood inside the car and shell casings on the ground nearby.

Goode was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
