After being surrendered by owner who said he was ‘too old,’ Labrador named Bullet adopted! | Forgotten Friends

He may be 9-years-old but he still has lots of energy.

KERRVILLE, Texas — Our “Forgotten Friends” series showcases a dog or cat each week that has spent a lengthy time at an area shelter, just waiting for someone to notice them and bring them home to love.

This week, we meet a 9-year-old Labrador Retriever mix named Bullet who was surrendered to the AWS Freeman Fritts Animal Shelter in Kerrville by her human for being “too old” back in July.

“Bullet is full of life and ready to find his forever home,” said shelter staff. “Despite being surrendered to Kerr County Animal Services because his previous owner deemed him too old, Bullet has proven to be anything but.”

Bullet is loads of fun and has lots of energy. He doesn’t get along with cats but would probably get along with another dog. The shelter does require a meet and greet just to make sure there won’t be any potential problems.

“His playful spirit and boundless energy are a testament to his zest for life,” said shelter staff. “He does great on a leash and is potty-trained.”

Bullet loves playing with toys and being given treats. He will let you know when he is hungry by carrying his bowl around.

Bullet is healthy, current on all of vaccinations, and already neutered.

There is no fee to adopt him because that has been taken care of by a sponsor.

Who is ready to bring home a new friend?

For whoever adopts Bullet, Lucy’s Doggy Daycare & Spa will be lending a paw by offering them a free “Glow Up” Day at the Spa, which includes a massage therapy bath and Pawdicure. One of Lucy’s most cherished core values is to continue Lucy’s legacy of giving back to pups in need, as Lucy herself was a rescue!
