SAN ANTONIO — The beloved San Antonio brunch destination, Alamo Biscuit Co. & Panaderia, have announced the opening of their third location that is set to be built in the heart of downtown.
The 7,000-square-foot space is adjacent to the iconic River Center Mall and directly on the River Walk. It will also include a 1,200 square-foot patio allowing up to 250 guest total to be seated inside and out.
Guests can also look forward to an expanded menu with a full liquor and espresso bar, allowing it to be a go-to spot for any time of the day.
This expansion is both a personal milestone and testament to the restaurant’s growing popularity, according to Owner John Vale.
“To be invited to open a location on the San Antonio River Walk is an incredible honor and a blessing,” said Vale, an Edinburg, Texas native and proud UTSA graduate. “In just five years, Alamo Biscuit Co. has become a part of San Antonio’s culinary fabric, and now, we’ve been given the opportunity to share our passion for great food and community in what I believe is the best location in Texas. This is a gift from God and a privilege we don’t take lightly.”
Annually, the River Walk attracts more than 12 million viewers, providing great exposure for the new location, which will occupy the space at 849 E. Commerce which was previously occupied by Enrique Tomás.
Alamo Biscuit Co. is set to begin hiring in January 2025 and are looking for 80 to 100 team members, including management, servers, cooks and dishwashers.
