Under a new NBA All-Star Game format, two U.S. teams and one international team (the World team) will compete in a round-robin tournament featuring four 12-minute games.
Spurs fans can vote via the NBA App and NBA.com with their NBA ID to represent 50% of the vote to determine the five players from each conference honored as starters for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, with current NBA players and a media panel accounting for 25% each. This year, All-Stars are being selected without regard to position.
SYBL COMMISSIONER CASTLE
The Spurs Youth Basketball League and Pizza Hut announced Spurs guard Stephon Castle has once again been named the SYBL commissioner for his second season in a row.
“My experience serving as commissioner last season was incredibly special, meeting hundreds of players and coaches and seeing the culmination of 35 years of work in our communities,” said Stephon Castle in a release. “I saw firsthand how the power of sports and teamwork can drive our youth to pursue greatness, both on a personal and team level, and I’m excited to see all that we can accomplish in year two.”
As the presenting partner of SYBL, Pizza Hut is celebrating with a promotional offer to support the league’s mission and athletes as they continue their 35-plus year legacy and donating a portion of their proceeds to the youth league for every large one-topping stuffed crust pizza sold between Monday, Jan. 5 and Sunday, Feb. 8. Fans can place their order with any Pizza Hut in the San Antonio area at PizzaHut.com.
Castle will make appearances at various events throughout the SYBL season, where he will mentor and play with the kids and assist with running clinics. He is also featured alongside young athletes in a new Pizza Hut commercial.
