A slew of Spurs are traveling to Los Angeles to face off against the association’s elite this weekend. Here’s the schedule.
SAN ANTONIO — As the Spurs rocket back into NBA relevance to the tune of a 38-16 record and the No. 2 seed in the West at the unofficial halfway mark of the season, the team is sending a strong cohort to All-Star Weekend festivities in Los Angeles.
Victor Wembanyama and eleventh-hour injury replacement De’Aaron Fox will suit up for the All-Star Game – which again takes the form of a mini-tournament between three teams comprising the NBA’s elite – but you’ll be able to catch representatives of the Silver & Black in All-Star action all weekend, starting Friday evening.
The various competitions can be hard to track as the association makes the most of its three-day bonanza. We’ve got you covered.
Read on for a day-by-day breakdown of when the Spurs take the court in LA this weekend. (All times are Central.)
Friday
Things get underway with the All-Star Celebrity Game tipping off at 6 p.m. on ESPN, featuring the likes of Jeremy Lin, Keegan-Michael Key, Adrien Nuñez, GloRilla and others.
But Spurs fans should make sure to Peacock at 8 p.m., when Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper and the rest of Team Melo kick off the best-of-three Rising Stars tourney, which showcases the best rookies and sophomores in the league.
They’ll face Team Austin (which, by the way, includes Dylan’s brother Ron Harper Jr.) in the first-to-40 semifinal. The winner will go on to face the winner of Team Vince and Team T-Mac at 9:35 p.m., also on Peacock, with the first team to 25 points declared Rising Stars 2026 victors.
Later in the night, at 10 p.m., Hampton University and North Carolina AT&T will face off in the 2026 HBCU Classic on Peacock.
Saturday
The NBA’s hottest flamethrowers will be swishing away in the 3-Point Contest to start All-Star Saturday at 4 p.m. on Peacock, but no Spurs players will be taking part in that competition.
But San Antonio faithful should make sure to note when the 3-Point Contest winner is crowned; immediately following will be the Shooting Stars competition. There are four teams, one of which is a family affair: Dylan Harper will be joining his brother Ron Harper Jr. and their five-time NBA champion father Ron Harper Sr. on Team Harper.
In what’s essentially this year’s version of the Skills Challenge, Shooting Stars will see each player, one at a time, moving through several different shooting spots while trying to score as many points as they can in 70 seconds. The top two teams face off in a second round, where a winner will be determined.
Shooting Stars will be followed up by the Slam Dunk Contest. Carter Bryant is probably warming up his routine as you’re reading this; the high-flying Spurs rookie will be looking to avenge Stephon Castle’s loss last year. He’ll face off against the Lakers’ Jaxson Hayes, the Magic’s Jase Richardson and the Heat’s Keshad Johnson.
Sunday
The weekend’s headlining event gets underway at 4 p.m. on NBA and Peacock.
NBA brass have once again tweaked the All-Star Game format for 2026; while it retains a mini-tournament structure, it will feature two rosters of USA-born players and a third of international All-Stars. Victor Wembanyama is on the World Team, while Fox is suiting up for USA Stripes.
Spurs head coach Mitch Johnson will also be roaming the sidelines and drawing up plays for USA Stripes, having won the honors by virtue of San Antonio’s success in his first full season.
It’ll be a round-robin tournament, which means every team will play each other at least once. The two top teams from the first three games will face off in the All-Star Game championship, scheduled to tip off at 6:10 p.m.
