
San Antonio police are actively investigating an incident at IDEA Judson school. It is unclear at this time what happened at the school.
SAN ANTONIO — The scene is clear and there were no injuries reported after police investigated a potential threat at IDEA Judson Thursday morning.
According to SAPD, there was an active scene at IDEA Judson on the 13000 block of Judson Road just after 8 a.m. The campus was placed on lockdown while officers worked to clear each room.
The school district said all students and staff were safe and the scene was cleared around 10 a.m.
School officials have issued the following statement regarding the incident:
“IDEA Judson was made aware of an unconfirmed report of a prohibited item on school grounds earlier today. School leaders worked in collaboration with authorities in the investigation and found no evidence of a credible threat. The campus was placed on lockdown temporarily while the investigation took place, and the lockdown has been lifted. Students and staff are safe. As this is an ongoing investigation, all further questions should be directed to the San Antonio Police Department.”
