As of Saturday morning, one of the men is in critical condition while the other is in stable condition, police say.
SAN ANTONIO — Two men are in the hospital after an alleged shooting took place at a west-side apartment complex, police say.
At around 2:40 a.m. Saturday morning, police were at The Legend Premiere Apartments located in the 8700 block of Marbach for an unrelated disturbance at the complex’s pool. While they were clearing out the pool, they allegedly heard gunfire from the front of the complex.
Police ran to the gunfire and located two 18-year-old men with gunshot wounds. One was found near a parked vehicle while the other was in front of the entrance.
Both men were taken to the hospital; one in critical condition and one in stable condition.
Police say both victims were walking in the complex when an unknown suspect approached them and demanded their belongings while holding a handgun. The victims tried to flee, but the suspect allegedly started shooting toward them, striking them both.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been located as of Saturday morning.
