Amazon delivery driver carjacked at east-side apartment complex, police say

The driver was delivery a package and when he was returning to his car, he saw the unknown suspect driving away in it.

SAN ANTONIO — An Amazon delivery driver had his car stolen from him while he was delivering packages at an east-side apartment complex, police say.

San Antonio police were dispatched to the Commerce Gardens Apartments located in the 3100 block of East Commerce.

Police say the driver was coming back to his vehicle after delivering packages when he saw an unknown suspect in his vehicle reversing, and driving out of the complex. 

Officers say he chased after his car, but the alleged carjacker stopped to pick up another guy, who flashed a gun at him.

The pair then drove away. No injuries were reported.

Police say they are actively searching for the two male suspects, approximately 30 years of age, one Black and one white.

The stolen vehicle is a dark-colored Fiat.

If you have any information about this motor vehicle theft, please call police. When found, the pair could be facing aggravated robbery charges.
