Roselyn Navaeh Smith, 12, was reported missing from her home near Tangleberry Street and Tanglewood Street in Nacogdoches.
NACOGDOCHES, Texas — An AMBER Alert has been issued for a missing 12-year-old girl in Nacogdoches.
Officials are currently searching for 12-year-old Roselyn Navaeh Smith. She was last seen on the 500 Block of Tangleberry St in Nacogdoches. She reportedly disappeared around 7:40 a.m. Police say she was last seen heading toward the bus stop, but she never showed up to school. She is a student at Nacogdoches ISD’s McMichael Middle School.


She is described as a Black girl who is 4 foot 11 inches and weights 129 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with gold letters that read “QUEEN,” as well as blue jean shorts, black shoes and diamond stud earrings. She was carrying a backpack, crossbody bag and a clarinet.
Sgt. Brett Ayres with the Nacogdoches Police Department said they are interviewing a person who was driving a vehicle in the area where Roselyn was last seen.
Ayres said Nacogdoches P.D is working with multiple departments, including the FBI and Nacogdoches ISD Police, to locate Roselyn.
“We’re looking all over for her, and we’re hoping for a good resolution to this and hoping we find her pretty soon,” Ayres said.
Anyone with information relating to her whereabouts or who see someone matching her description are encouraged to call 911 immediately and keep an eye on Roselyn if possible until officers arrive.
