A guy on TikTok posted two videos of his mom’s birthday cake from the H-E-B bakery being flipped over by a cashier. He tried again with another “Do Not Flip” cake.
HOUSTON — Texas-based H-E-B is the target of a TikTok prank that’s gone viral — twice!
@joreself posted a video of his mom’s birthday cake being turned upside down by a cashier and ruined.
“Please say sike,” H-E-B posted in the comment section. “😭😭We want to make this right. Please send us a DM.”
The guy responds by posting a second video of another cake with the words “Do Not Flip” written in frosting. The cashier not only turned it upside down, but he also shook it to create an even bigger mess.
This time around, H-E-B figured out it was, indeed, a joke.
“Fool me once shame on us. Fool us twice…nevermind.”
The guy then shared the sweet story behind the prank and thanked the cashier for playing along.
“For those curious: this is a little birthday prank for my mom! This happened to her 15 years ago and we still laugh about it, so I asked the worker to help me recreate it. HEB going above and beyond to help with this prank! Y’all are the best!”
