A San Antonio mother seeks closure in her son’s unsolved 2016 murder, urging anyone with information to come forward.
SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio mother is pleading for someone to come forward with information in her son’s 2016 murder as she endures another holiday season without him.
On Nov. 30, 2016, 24-year-old James Hernandez was killed during what police say was a home invasion robbery. At the time, investigators say a group of masked men stormed into his home in the 6200 block of Roxbury Dr. on the northwest side. They shot and killed him inside the home.
His mother, Patricia Soto says no one has yet been arrested for his murder and she has waited nine years for justice for her son.
Hernandez was Soto’s only child and she says this time of year is very difficult for her. He was killed six days after she last saw him on Thanksgiving Day in 2016.
