Argument on the east side turns violent with one man stabbed, police say

Officers say the victim did not know his attacker.

SAN ANTONIO — An argument on the east side of San Antonio ended in violence with one man stabbed, police say.

It happened around 1 a.m. in the 1200 block of Willow Street near I-35.

Police responded to a location in the area of Mason and Palmetto but they couldn’t locate the victim. According to police, the 46-year-old victim was taken to a hospital by a friend before police arrived at the scene.

The victim’s injuries were critical, but not life-threatening, according to police. Officers were told that the incident actually occurred near the victim’s home on Willow Street. 

He told police that he was at home when and argument with some men broke out and then turned physical. During the fight, the victim was stabbed by a suspect from behind. 

Officers say the victim did not know his attacker. 

This investigation remains ongoing.
