Argument turns deadly: 3 shot, crash follows on south side of town; 1 dead, 2 fighting for life

A dispute escalated into gunfire, leaving one man dead and two others critically injured after crashing into a business on the south side.

SAN ANTONIO — A violent dispute on the south side ended in gunfire, with a crash and one man dead, according to San Antonio police.

Officers were called around 9:29 p.m. Sunday to the 100 block of SW Military Drive for a shooting in progress.

Police say a disturbance between two groups escalated, and suspects opened fire, shooting three people inside a vehicle.

An SAPD park officer later found the victims after they crashed into a nearby business and began rendering aid.

Officers performed life-saving measures until EMS arrived.

A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other victims, a 23-year-old man and a 17-year-old, were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspects have not been located.

Investigators are still working to determine what led up to the shooting.
