Arrest made in deadly ‘jugging’ robbery in Cibolo

CIBOLO, Texas — An arrest has been made in a deadly robbery in Cibolo over the summer.

James Doty, 61, was killed in the attack in June in a crime trend police are calling “jugging.”

Police say Doty got out of his SUV and went to the Security Service Federal Credit Union in Schertz to get cash. He was then followed by the suspects and violently robbed 45 minutes later. Doty ended up in a coma and died on July 12.

Police arrested Rataski Goins, 33, who was taken into custody and charged with robbery. Police are still looking for two other suspects.
