HOUSTON — Houston Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes is preparing for a major milestone off the field.
Paredes and his girlfriend, Paulina Quiroz, shared the news on Instagram, posting a series of photos and videos along with a heartfelt message announcing they are expecting a baby. One video in the carousel shows Quiroz hitting a baseball that bursts into blue powder, revealing the couple is expecting a boy.
In the post, Quiroz expressed gratitude and excitement as they prepared to welcome their child.
“Grateful to God for this great blessing that came into our lives. You are a gift full of love and joy,” she wrote. “We are waiting for you with all our love, your parents and all your family. We promise to take care of you and love you always. Welcome, baby Isaac Paredes Quiroz.”
The Astros acquired Paredes in 2024 in a trade that sent Kyle Tucker to the Chicago Cubs, making this his first season in Houston after stops with Detroit, Tampa Bay and Chicago.
