SISTERDALE, Texas — New details have been released following a reported helicopter crash Tuesday morning near Sisterdale, outside of Boerne.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers responded around 10:59 a.m. to a crash on private property at Headwaters Ranch, located in the 8300 block of RM 1376 in Kendall County.
Preliminary findings indicate the helicopter struck a tree before crashing to the ground. Officials said two people were on board at the time of the crash.
The pilot was airlifted to University Hospital, while the passenger was transported by ground to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries remains unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and will lead the investigation.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.
