Atascosa County commissioner bonds out after being booked on three charges, officials say

ATASCOSA COUNTY, Texas — An Atascosa County commissioner has been booked on three post-indictment charges, according to officials.

Precinct #4 Commissioner Kennard “Bubba” Riley was booked into the Atascosa County Jail on Monday. He has been charged with abuse of official capacity (class B misdemeanor), theft (class A misdemeanor) and violation of motor fuel tax regulation (2nd degree felony), according to officials.

He bonded out shortly after being booked.

The leading investigating agency for this case is the Texas Rangers.
