ATM worker ambushed in broad daylight as robbery spree continues across San Antonio

Last Friday, a different Bank of America ATM was blown up on the north side.

SAN ANTONIO — An ATM worker was ambushed by a group of robbers who made off with cash, officials say.

Tuesday’s robbery makes more than four ATM robberies in the past month.

Just last Friday a different Bank of America ATM was blown up on the north side.

SAPD received a call about the robbery just before noon in the 20900 block of US Highway 281 North.

Officers say an employee was working on an ATM when he was pushed by the group of men. The three men started grabbing cash before taking off in a 2011 white BMW.

It is unknown at this time how much money was taken from the ATM.
