SAN ANTONIO — The Children’s Ballet of San Antonio is going under the sea with their spring show, the Little Mermaid.
The classic tale of the mermaid who falls in love with a human and makes a deal with a sea witch to join him on land will come to life on stage with dancers, singers, gymnasts and actors. Organizers say the show will feature live musical numbers, dance choreography and special water effects.
The organization is having an open audition for the production on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 10:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
The call is for performers age 3-19 from all disciplines of dance including, ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary. They are also seeking vocalists, gymnasts, actors and musical theater artists.
Participation in the show includes instruction from CBSA’s master ballet teachers, guest artists and local choreographers.
