McAllen police said the man accused of helping Eddy Betancourt’s alleged killer flee to Mexico, was arrested on Thursday.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection and McAllen Police said Leonel Perez Delgado was arrested Thursday morning at the Hidalgo Port of Entry as he attempted to cross back into the United States.
Law enforcement was on the lookout for Delgado earlier this week when investigators said he helped Reynaldo Mata Rios cross the border into Mexico.
Mata Rios is still on the run. The investigation remains ongoing.
