Authorities looking for suspect in connection with deadly November hit-and-run in south SA

The suspect allegedly failed to stop and render aid, leading to the deaths of a 61-year-old man and his two daughters, both in their 20s.

SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio Crime Stoppers need help finding a suspect connected to a deadly hit-and-run incident that killed a family of three on the far south side last month.

The unidentified suspect allegedly failed to stop and render aid, leading to the death of 25-year-old Leslie Salas Dominguez, 22-year-old Yareli Salas Dominguez and 61-year-old Juan Salas Sifuentes, on Nov. 11. According to police, a 46-year-old man fled the scene and was detained for questioning, but released the same day due to there not being enough evidence.

“Now, through the course of the investigation, there is (enough evidence),” said Nicholas Soliz, a spokesperson for SAPD.

Police are now looking for that same man. Authorities said the day of the incident he was aggressively driving at a “high rate of speed,” per witness reports. His vehicle then crashed into the back of another car, pushing it into wrong-way traffic before it was broadsided by a third, oncoming vehicle.

The three victims were confirmed dead at the scene by police. One other victim, a 56-year-old woman who was in the third car, was taken to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

They provided the following image of the suspect vehicle:
