CALAVERAS, Texas — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who was killed in a crash earlier this summer near Calaveras.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 2:35 a.m. on July 19 along Highway 181, north of Floresville. Investigators believe the woman walked into the roadway and was struck by a passing vehicle. She died at the scene.

Months later, the woman still has not been identified.

In an effort to learn her identity, a digital forensic imaging specialist created a picture of the woman. The image was developed from a screenshot taken inside a Subway restaurant off Highway 181, where she was seen shortly before the crash.

DPS is urging anyone who recognizes the woman or has information that may help identify her to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Texas Department of Public Safety at (210) 531-2280.
