Authorities seize $10K in drug money, meth, cocaine, marijuana and more in Wilson County

Charges have been filed for drug distribution and firearms offenses, and multiple additional offenders are now under investigation.

WILSON COUNTY, Texas — The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office had been watching a house for quite a while, and it paid off in a big way last Friday.

Investigators arrested Luis Vasquez of Gonzales and have more people under investigation

According to the Gonzales Inquirer, the arrest happened Friday when officers raided a home on Jobe Street in Gonzales.

Investigators found $10,000 in alleged drug money, 30 pounds of THC and marijuana, and a lot of meth and cocaine.

Vasquez is facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm and multiple counts of making and delivering drugs.

The operation has been going on for more than a year including the DEA, San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, and Gonzales County Attorney’s Office.

The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office says this arrest makes a huge dent in the amount of cocaine coming into the area.
