Award-winning Broadway hit CHICAGO returns to San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre in May

The production will run May 1–2, 2025. Tickets are now on sale.

SAN ANTONIO — The Broadway hit CHICAGO is coming back to San Antonio next spring for a two-day performance at the Majestic Theatre, organizers with Broadway in San Antonio announced on Friday.

The production will run May 1–2, 2025, with tickets now on sale.

According to organizers, CHICAGO remains Broadway’s longest-running American musical, known for its 1920s-era story of fame, scandal and showbiz sensationalism. It has earned six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy.

Set during the Prohibition era, the show follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who kills her lover and works to avoid conviction by manipulating the media and seeking help from a high-profile defense attorney. Organizers say the story’s themes still resonate, noting its “show-stopping songs” and iconic choreography.

Performances are scheduled for:

  • Friday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 2 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Broadway in San Antonio reminds theatergoers that tickets should only be purchased through the Majestic Theatre or ATG Tickets, the official outlets for the show.
