Bandera High School joins social media competition for new football stadium

Bandera ISD is a part of T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights Sweepstakes.

SAN ANTONIO — Bandera High School is taking on a different approach to raise money for a new look and spirit around campus.

They’re a part of the T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights contest for a football stadium makeover.

It’s really easy for anyone wanting to help out. You just get on your phone and open up Instagram.

On the app, Bandera ISD is trying to show its school spirit so you need to make a post and use the tags #FN5GL #Sweepstakes.

You’ll also need to @tmobile and @banderaisd.

In your post, you need tell your story on what Bandera means to you and how a new stadium would make a difference.

The more interaction and online engagement the better.

Bandera ISD’s Director of Communications Tiffany Pierce says the stadium is due for a makeover and they want to win to make the stadium a place for everyone to enjoy.

“It’s been over 20 years since Bandera has had any makeovers of any type so if the kids go out there and they’re like, this is something cool, this is something I want my entire family to come out to, and we also do our graduation here,” Pierce said. “We just need a better renovated spot to show off what Bandera ISD represents.”

So far, Bandera ISD has won $5,000 in the competition.

They’re competing against different high schools across the country and 16 will be selected to win $25,000.

Only one school will be selected for the stadium makeover so show up for Bandera.

The sweepstakes will be going on until September 20, so again get on Instagram, make a post and share those tags.
