The zoo is wrapping up the year with tail-wagging fun as Dog Day returns on Wednesday, Dec. 31.

Dog Day is a fan-favorite for a reason. It gives dogs a chance to sniff out new sights and smells, while humans enjoy a unique zoo experience that’s equal parts wholesome and hilarious. Think curious pups posing for photos, impromptu meet-and-greets, and plenty of “who rescued who?” moments.

From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., guests can bring their four-legged family members to enjoy a dog-friendly stroll through select areas of the zoo, complete with enrichment activities and festive surprises. The first 200 dogs through the gate will also receive a special New Year’s Eve bandana, while supplies last.

Dog Day Tickets are $27.99 per dog, in addition to regular zoo admission or membership. Dogs must be healthy, leashed, vaccinated, and accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Some areas will be off-limits to pups, but relief areas and guidance will be available.

Spots are limited. Tickets and details can be found at sazoo.org.

Because ringing in the new year is better with a best friend—especially one with four legs. 🐶🎉
