
Barnes & Noble is set to open a 20,419-square-foot store in the bustling Huebner Oaks area.
SAN ANTONIO — Book lovers may soon have another reason to linger around the Huebner Oaks shopping area.
A state filing shows Barnes & Noble is planning a new store at 11745 Interstate Highway 10 West, Suite 750, which is a busy retail hub that’s seen a wave of new additions recently, including the new Trader Joe’s.
The project, listed as “Kite Huebner Oaks Barnes and Noble,” will be a 20,419-square-foot store with an an estimated cost of $350,000. Construction is expected to begin March 1, 2026, with an estimated completion date of June 30, 2026, according to the filing.
KRG San Antonio Huebner Oaks is listed as the property owner. Design work is being handled by CASCO Diversified Corporation, based in St. Louis. A tenant hasn’t been officially listed yet, but the project’s name and details show it’s going to be a Barnes & Noble.
