WACO, Texas — Baylor Football will soon have a new offensive coordinator.
Sources have confirmed with 6 News that Jake Spavital will be hired as the new offensive coordinator at Baylor.
Spavital served as offensive coordinator for the University of California, Berkeley Golden Bears, finishing the season 6-6 overall.
Spavital also spent four seasons as the head coach at Texas State from 2019-2022 and has spent time at WVU and Texas A&M.
With the new hire, Baylor is expected to return to a spread, up-tempo offense.
